10/10/09- Homecoming was AWESOME... sort of. That is, the hour from approximately 8:50 to 9:50 where they actually played good music was fantastic. I am amazed that they put out a request list just to totally ignore it and play rap instead. It is truly terrible as most rap sounds lack any sort of rhythm you could dance to resulting in the obscene "grindfest" of teenage hormones that forms in the center of the room. They played one rap song three times in lieu of sounds that were requested. During that one hour, they played songs like "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Thriller" and it was so much fun! There were noticeable cheers from the crowd and people started actually dancing. I just do not understand what brings the DJ to play that awful music. I hope we get a much better DJ next year, or make it student run. That way the music we listen to is decided by the kids dancing to it, not a DJ who does not care how happy we are but rather how much he is getting paid.

The Fifth Week
10/8/09- My room seriously needs to be cleaned. It's a disorganized mess of clothes that need to be put away and school papers. It's to the point where I can't even stand to be in there unless I'm going to bed. The cluttered mess confuses my thoughts, and makes it difficult for me to get things done. However, whenever I try to clean my room, I always find something else that needs to be done... I've been cursed with a terrible habit of procrastination but also perfectionism. I wish it was as easy as just cleaning my room, but I would rather practice piano or do my homework in the living room than be in my messy room. It's a serious issue that I have and I want to get rid of it, but I don't know if I'll get around to it...
