2/22/10-

Things I hate:

(These things drive me crazy, and I don’t always know why. Some things just bother me for no reason, though some make more sense.)

When people look at me and watch my reactions at play and movies.

That I have to call home whenever I go somewhere.

Forgetting homework at home.

Missing IB Classes.

Walking to one parking lot only to realize your car is in the other one.

Ignorant people.

People who use vocabulary words incorrectly.

Turning on the TV right at the end of your favorite show or movie.

Waking up late, but with just enough time to make it to school on time.

Watching people make fools of themselves on stage.

Taking cold showers.

Finding empty containers of food in the fridge.

Hypocrites.

Things I love:

The numbers 7 and 9 and 3.

Fake languages like Pig Latin or Goat Latin.

Turning on the TV at the start of your favorite show or movie.

New socks.

Forgetting homework, but then having the teacher forget to collect it.

Listening to old music.

Clean sheets.

People with eloquent, appropriate vocabularies.

Taking naps.

Not having anything to do.

Reading the instruction manual to a new videogame.

Finally being able to drive.

Cake.

2/25/10-Sugar tastes so good. It’s amazing that such a simple compound can stimulate the taste buds and tantalize the brain. It has the ability to cause obsession and ruin the lives of thousands by giving them awful diseases such as diabetes or gingivitis. It also is a major reason for the weight problems of millions of Americans. It seems almost wrong that such an irresistible material would be bad for humans and a negative to our health. Why couldn’t something healthy taste as good as sugar and benefit humans? If only it was possible to make vegetables and fruit taste equally delicious without ruining the health of a large portion of the world’s population. The number of obese people would not have to be nearly as prominent and major diseases could be avoided. Now while this all seems great, it is obviously not possible. The fact that sugar tastes delicious but is dangerous to one’s health is either the decision of a Divine Creator or, from the Atheist’s point of view, a sad coincidence. Assuming there is a Divine Creator, this decision would only be made to punish humans for giving into temptation. Otherwise, why would a Divine Creator create such a cruel substance?
